  由彭美施(施姐)擔任班主,梁兆明和梁非同「雙梁配」主演的新《梁祝》於短短4個月即決定載譽重演;11月21日,施姐聯同藝術總監吳美英、梁兆明、梁非同、廖國森、詹浩鋒等主要演員及功臣現身發布會公布詳情,並指重演將更強化和流暢。

  創意班主施姐昨日舉行發布會宣布新《梁祝》於2024年1月13日及14日在西九文化區戲曲中心大劇院舞台重演兩場;並指選擇於「1314」重演具有雙重意義,寓意梁祝的愛情故事及戲迷支持粵劇都是一生一世。

  施姐透露重演的兩場不單止會延續讓觀眾驚喜的演員服飾與舞台布景,以及最後一幕重本投資的化蝶特技CG效果,作為班主的她稱製作方面會着墨於演繹得更加細膩。她又大讚兩位主角兆明和非同在劇目中是由內心出發地演戲而不是做戲,因此才成功掀動了觀眾的情緒。

  兆明與非同在台上致辭時均表示對重演很期待。兆明喜見上次公演後得到觀眾接受,稱重演時將會在原有的基礎上加入新元素及檢討後作改進。非同則指對劇中的男女扮相皆很喜歡和享受,而男裝更甚有挑戰,加上英台的角色就是敢於創新和冒險,團隊都是本着求新的心態製作,因此自己也嘗試了許多的第一次。

  受訪時,兆明不諱言最初感到壓力頗大,但壓力亦是動力,令自己做得更好。非同則透露在「十八相送」部分,應會在書生的扇及身段方面有更美化的運用,期待美英姐如何編排。非同望原班人馬重演時能雕琢得更好。兆明亦指,由於是新版本,講述梁山伯早已得悉祝英台是女兒身,在「十八相送」時突然大呼「賢妹」的一幕等同自爆,亦代表了一直默默保護英台,引得觀眾有極大反應。

  作為藝術總監的吳美英直認的確在「十八相送」的場口會有一些改動,因首演的時間較為急促,有一些走位磨合得未夠完善,而今次演員擁有了首演時熟悉的台步,相信走位上能做得更好和順暢,而男女之間的感情、暗戀及表白位,也能融合得更好;特別是山伯的一聲「賢妹」,英台回眸的剎那間,眼神不能展露出承認自己是女子,但又感激對方知道自己是女子, 這個場口位置相當有難度,亦希望能夠再強化。

  廖國森和詹浩鋒對於重演也相當支持,「作為大老倌的廖國森重演一定無難度」,他笑說,不過也要視乎情況,若劇本照舊就應該是,但他就不希望一成不變,因始終舞台有突破性才精彩,不過一切要待收到劇本才知道。詹浩鋒亦稱希望在重演中,將角色演得更加深入和純熟,還有更好的突破 。

  New "The Butterfly Lovers" Returns with CG Technology

  【譯文】Theresa Pang, the creative director of the new "The Butterfly Lovers" starring Leung Siu-ming and Leung Fei-tung, has decided to have a prestigious revival in just a short span of four months. November 21, Ms Sze, together with Artistic Director Ms Ng May Ying, Mr Leung Siu-ming, Mr Leung Fei-tung, Mr Liu Kwok-sum, Mr Jim Ho-fung and other vital actors and contributors, announced the details of the press conference and said that the re-staging would be more strengthened and smoother.

  At yesterday's press conference, creative director Theresa Pang announced that the new production of "The Butterfly Lovers" will be re-staged for two performances on January 13 and 14, 2024, at the Grand Theatre of the Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District. The choice to stage the revival on "1314" holds a dual significance, symbolizing the eternal love story of Liang Zhu and the lifelong support of Cantonese opera fans.

  Theresa revealed that the two re-enactments will continue to surprise the audience with the costumes, stage sets, and the heavily invested butterfly CG effect in the final scene. The production will focus on a more delicate interpretation. She also praised the two main characters, Siu Ming and Fei Tung, for their authentic portrayal of characters driven by genuine emotions rather than mere acting, which successfully stirred the audience's emotions.

  Siu Ming and Fei Tung said they looked forward to the revival. Siu Ming was pleased with the audience's acceptance of the last performance. He said he would add new elements to the original version and improve it after reviewing it. On the other hand, Fei Tung noted that she liked and enjoyed both the male and female costumes in the play, and the male costumes were even more challenging. In addition, Yingtai's characteristic is innovative and adventurous, and the team was in the spirit of seeking new ideas for the production. Hence, he had to try many new things for the first time.

  During the interview, Siu Ming admitted that he initially felt pressure. Still, the pressure was also a motivation to do better. Fei-tung revealed that in the part of "Farewell for 18 Miles", there should be a more beautiful use of the scholar's fan and body, looking forward to how May Ying will choreograph it. Fei-tung hopes the original cast can do a better job in the re-enactment. Siu Ming also pointed out that as this is a new version, the scene where Liang Shanbo suddenly exclaims "sister" during the "Farewell for 18 Miles" signifies his realization that Zhu Yingtai is actually a woman, which is equivalent to self-exposure. This scene represents the continuous silent protection of Yingtai by Shanbo and has evoked a strong reaction from the audience.

  As the Artistic Director, Ms. Ng May-ying, admitted that there were some changes in the scene of "Farewell for 18 Miles", as the premiere was rushed and some of the movements were not perfected, but with the familiar steps from the premiere, I believe that the movements will be better and smoother, and the feelings between the two genders, the secret love and the confessions will be better integrated; Especially during the moment when Shanbo utters "sister" and Yingtai glances back, her eyes cannot openly acknowledge her identity as a woman, but she appreciates that he knows her secret. This particular scene requires a delicate balance, and there is a desire to further enhance its impact.

  Liu Kwok-sum and Jim Ho-fung are also very supportive of the re-enactment. Jim smiled and said that it would depend on the situation. If the script is the same as before, then it should be. Still, he wants it to be different from before, as breakthroughs on the stage make it more exciting, but he must wait until he receives the script to see what will happen. Mr. Jim also expressed his desire to portray the character in a more profound and skilled manner during the revival, aiming for a deeper understanding and better breakthroughs in his performance. ◆ Tiffany
